    *I discovered and characterized a mechanism that allows epithelial cells to rapidly repair tight junctions following cell shape change.*Collaboratively developed a microscopy-based assay to visualize tight junction barrier breaches with unprecedented spatiotemporal precision.*I performed live and fixed confocal microscopy on Xenopus laevis (frog) embryos to observe dynamics of cell-cell junctions, Rho GTPases, and the actin cytoskeleton in novel processes. *I developed methodology for robust quantification and statistical analysis of microscopy data.*My work was the basis of multiple peer-reviewed publications and funded grants.*I co-authored well-cited review articles on Rho GTPases, actomyosin, and tight junctions.
