Keurig Dr. Pepper is a leading producer of hot and cold beverages across North America. As an Operations Supervisor on the Process Improvement Team, I have been afforded the opportunity to aid in the rolling out of TPM principles across KDP’s hot beverage production plant in Knoxville, TN, and better support the company’s lean management initiative.

As a part of my Senior Capstone Project, I worked alongside four of my peers to determine what processes, practices, and equipment were needed to reduce the overall scrap rate across 32 production lines. This involved a weight data analysis and a design of experiments to validate the installation of new machinery and determine its optimal settings.

The Y‑12 National Security Complex is a premier manufacturing facility dedicated to making our nation and the world a safer place and plays a vital role in the Department of Energy’s Nuclear Security Enterprise.As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UT, I worked closely with Y-12 to support their recent inventory management efforts by testing and evaluating wearable scanning technology solutions for their Material Acquisition and Control Center (MAC).

CURENT, Center for Ultra-Wide-Area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks, is a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center that is jointly supported by NSF (National Science Foundation) and the DoE (Department of Energy). A collaboration between academia, industry, and national laboratories, CURENT is led by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I served as a mentor for the Young Scholars Program, spending 4 weeks remotelymentoring high school students on research projects related to CURENT research areas.
