Bondfire is a mentorship and skill-building program for secondary school students and fresh school graduates in Malaysia. We match young Malaysian professionals with students to equip them with additional knowledge and skills, not usually learnt in classrooms, and help them prepare them for college or the workforce. Since our inception in 2018, we've helped 3 groups of young individuals make that transition from school to college smoothly, and to various fields of study ranging from medicine to game design.

Mudah.my, a Carousell Group company, is the undisputed leader in Malaysian online classifieds, connecting millions of Malaysians through simple and reliable buying and selling experiences.As a Mudah Product Designer, I've had the opportunity to shape the user experience on our website and app. Since my start, I've been the designated designer for Mudah's Automobile vertical, which has the greatest impact on the business's profitability. I collaborated closely with Product Managers to launch Mudah into the online car transactions space.Furthermore, I actively advocated for UX research at Mudah and conducted in-house studies which saved the organisation a significant amount of money. I also consistently advocated for more design and product-led processes and strategies wherever possible.

SPR is a digital technology consultancy that develops elegant solutions to improve the way people do business. We work across all platforms, technologies, and devices, enabling companies to do more with data, engage with other people, build disruptive solutions, and operate in an agile and productive way. My role is an interesting one, as a Business Analyst on the Design team. It allows me to diversify my skills and experience in both areas. I've worked with clients in a plethora of industries such as Logistics & Transportation, Wholesale Distribution, and Accounting/Professional Services. Working closely with the development teams and business owners, I document user stories and requirements to be addressed and built by the developers. I have also created wireframes and high fidelity prototypes as part of the design process for our stakeholders to provide clarity and prompt user-focused questions. At the same time, I work with the QA and Design team to review built out features at the end of sprints.

SPR is a digital technology consultancy that develops elegant solutions to improve the way people do business. I worked with the Experience Design and Strategy Group within the company and was tasked with 3 projects. For one project, I was posted with a client as a UX consultant to work with my fellow SPR colleagues and the clients' product team to re-build an order management platform. Additionally, I planned and executed a UX study on SPR's intranet, for which I collected data, analyzed it and presented the executives with actionable insights. Finally, I put together some pieces for the SPR Portfolio on Behance.

As a part of the Consumer Device Team in Microsoft Malaysia, my responsibilities are focused around Digital Marketing Strategy. To perform my job, I evaluate the consumer journey for Microsoft Malaysia products then develop and execute an omnichannel & digital strategy for Microsoft partners based on my analysis. My goal is to optimize for User Experience (UX) on the Microsoft Malaysia online store and partner e-commerce sites. Additionally, one project that I am very excited to be a part of is planning and organizing the first DigiGirlz event in Malaysia together with the intern team. The event was a huge success as we hit our hard goals and almost made our soft goal of 150 participants.

Sage Corps is a startup in Chicago with a twist on your traditional study abroad program. Our students are spread out in over 12 cities around the world, where they intern, learn and experience the culture first hand. This is my first startup experience, and it was exhilarating to work closely with a small team, pick up more responsibilities than I expected, and learn faster than I ever have before.My responsibilities covered everything from Website Content & Design, to Analytics Reporting & Analysis. My analysis of Website, Social Media and CRM data is used to track performance of weekly marketing efforts, coordinate team members’ and company’s overall goal progress, and develop new strategies to increase conversion rates at each stage of the application process.

DESIGNATION was my first startup experience. They are a User Experience Bootcamp based in 1871, Chicago. I was involved in the back end of the program and was responsible for sourcing, creating and publishing social media content for each individual platform. I also collected and designed reports based on data from social media interactions. At the same time, I managed DESIGNATIONs alumni database and web page utilizing html and JSON.

As the Social Media Marketing Analytics Teaching Assistant, my responsibilities were to assist the Professor with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, and other miscellaneous projects. At the same time, I was given the opportunity to provide input and aid in obtaining materials for classes, including texts and other supplementary materials. I proctored a couple of examinations and recorded student grades.The Professor was extremely open and sought my input to develop and improve course plans. Throughout the semester, my largest focus was on keeping students on track with their keystone projects and helping out wherever they need.
