In this position, I collected and interpreted research for several accounts, including CBS Interactive, Apple, Amazon, Adidas and Budweiser. I also collaborated to create copy for proposal decks and assist Account Executives in ideating strategy and conceptualizing experiential ideas. Utilizing Keynote, I developed informative and effective decks and proposals to present research in a visually-pleasing medium for clients.

Circle Advertising is Chapman University’s student-run advertising group based out of Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. We create a year-long campaign and participate in the National Student Advertising Competition hosted by the American Advertising Federation. I was a member of the Creative Concept and Development Department and we worked with the Strategy team to put their initial strategy into action. We planned guerrilla marketing events, social media campaigns, experiential activations, and whatever other means necessary to invigorate our target audiences and build the brand identity of our client.

In this role, I assisted in the creation and planning of local events to promote client projects and studio films. I also had the opportunity to work pre-release screenings for upcoming films and create screening reports that have been sent to Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures. This internship is research based, and I conducted marketing research on target audiences and demographics for films by a variety of major studios. I worked with my fellow interns to research and brainstorm different experiences we could create locally to excite our target audiences about upcoming films--this could involve anything from influencer marketing to experiential activations.

I worked one-on-one with the CEO and help organize marketing for the online platform. I created social media and email campaigns, graphics, and banners for various marketing purposes, and designed different items for our customers, including t-shirts, bags, stickers, pens, etc. Another part of this position is research based, and I conducted research on investors, influencers in career coaching, and other competing platforms.

As an assistant mixer, I would help in mixing sessions by taking notes during and setting up the room for ADR, creating ISCI codes for clients, and preparing and sending assets to creatives.When I worked in Client Services, I would help clients in whatever ways possible through meals, beverages, and studio upkeep. I made sure they felt comfortable and treated well whenever they visited 740 sound.

In Spring 2018, I was able to spend a semester studying international business, Italian, and Intaglio printmaking in Rome, Italy. This experience allowed me to become fully immersed in a global setting, and I learned first-hand how companies market differently according to the global consumer. My time in Italy further developed my holistic academic background and my interests in studying domestic and global markets. I loved the challenge learning a new language and adjusting to a new culture in this semester.

In this position, I shadowed sound designers and mixers in commercial sound design, helping to create memorable and unique auditory experiences. I also gained experience in client services and studio upkeep, with tasks ranging from cleaning the studios to helping set up events. One aspect I really enjoyed from this internship was being trained in Automatic Dialogue Replacement (ADR) and Assistant Sound Mixing. I was able to work the whole summer on an intern project where I could sound design a commercial and get notes from my supervisors. I also had the opportunity to bring in my own projects I was working on to receive notes from the mixers and the CEO of the company.

In this internship, I was able to work with members of OC Human Relations and residents of Orange County to create a documentary about hate crimes within the community. In order to do this, I would organizing interviews with change-makers in the community and film relevant events.
