During my traineeship, I spent one year in Technology, six months in Corporate and six months on secondment to National Australia Group's - Retail and Commercial Services team.

I spent 9 months on secondment to Honeywell’s global data privacy team where I was responsible for advising on GDPR compliance across the business, as well as providing general data privacy support.

During my time at the Commission I gained a strong understanding of the politics and processes driving European policy making. I worked closely with my colleagues at the Single Market Policy Unit to develop high-level European policy initiatives, including the Digital Agenda for Europe. I was responsible for responding to Opinions on single market integration delivered by consultative bodies of the EU, preparing briefings for the Director General and drafting articles for official Commission publications. My enthusiasm and professionalism resulted in my selection to attend a briefing with the US Ambassador to the EU on US-EU trade relations.

The undergraduate course covered institutional, procedural and substantive aspects of EU Law. I was responsible for researching relevant topics, preparing lesson plans, guiding class discussions and grading formative assessments.
