Supporting the nursery to become a Forces Friendly Provider through training under Hampshire County Council. This training has enabled me to deliver guidance and information to key staff on how to support Forces Families through Deployment cycles and the different transitions through Military life. Adapting and creating Policies to help guide families through difficult times. Sharing social media and signposting families to critical support networks within the Military community.

Helping to teach and support children in both the pre-school, aged 3 and in the reception year, aged 4-5 with their development in all areas. • To help children feel safe and secure in their environment • Respond to children’s needs and help them to settle into their new setting• Promote a positive relationship between parents and the school• Work as a team to plan the areas of learning to help develop and support children as a group and as individuals creating different learning opportunities• I had the responsibility for 6 children in my key group• Monitoring children’s development by observing them in play and in focused activities• Record observations using online learning journeys• Assist/support children who have separation anxiety and help new children integrate into their new setting and friendship groups• Support children with Maths and English activities in the reception class• Using ‘Read, write, inc’ to help children explore phonics to encourage vocabulary, sounds, and listening techniques.

Supporting Children in the Early Years pre-school room, caring for 12 Key children in my group. I helped with the role of room leader when required, supporting staff and making sure the environment was safe and secure. Supporting Military families was an additional role, that I helped to create and helped to support families whose families were deploying or away from their immediate family.

Supporting the children in reception, aged 4-5. Supporting the teacher with classroom displays and helping children with Maths and English activities. I was required to work with children who had listening and attention problems using methods the school already had in place.

Trained in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineering Mechanic, Learning and developing team work and communication skills.
