Lead a rapidly growing church through significant attendee, facility and faculty growth challenges. Instilled organizational leadership, structure, processes and performance measurements for the business functions and staff of a rapidly growing church. This blended leadership role (both CEO and COO functions) included complete staff management (23 total, comprised of pastors, support and administration), daily church operations, financial responsibility, asset management, legal, HR, compliance and general operations. Successfully navigated significant changes (new sanctuary construction, building acquisition and renovation, staff increased from 12 to 23) over 3 years. Established numerous processes and procedures in finance, hiring, legal, compliance and facilities management. During my service to the church, attendance grew from 620 to 1,500 per Sunday, with annual receipts growing from $1.7 million to $3.3 million.

Tissue Science Labs, a British company, developed a novel biologic implant made from porcine dermis. The product had numerous FDA-cleared indications, including general, plastic, orthopedic and gynecological repair needs. Primary responsibilities included pioneering national sales efforts through internal and contracted sales support, developing marketing materials through physician, academic and institutional research, assisting sales staff, booth design, staffing and logistics for all meetings, and leading product review presentations in U.S. healthcare facilities.The company was acquired by Covidien in 2008.

ThoughtBank was a technology startup solving surgeon-designed Intellectual Property collection and protection. I designed a system to provide value assessment, documentation and protection of medical device ideas and inventions created by surgeons. The company was bootstrapped initially, followed with a large friends and family round with an early-stage VC rounding of fundraising totaling $1.3 million. The company failed to meet objectives and was closed by the Board in 2003.

Small, privately held medical device company. Responsible for existing product line improvements, new product development, testing and manufacturing strategy. Also included marketing and sales materials, booth design at meetings and a variety of duties associated with sales support and surgeon / customer support.

After an Honorable Discharge from the Navy and a brief stint commercial diving, moved to the Caribbean to run daily dive charters for local dive operations in St. Croix USVI and Grand Cayman. Captained a variety of fleet boats. Led multiple daily dive trips.
