School-Age Afterschool Program, (K-5) Stanley Isaacs Neighborhood CenterResponsible for daily prepare / implementation of engaging theme-based and recreational activities; Document and monitor daily activities in class to include recording attendance, supper report, incidents reports, behavior forms, medical logs and lesson plans; Manage behavioral problems and conflicts using mediation technique; Exhibit compassion for program general and Special Needs participants; Assist children in prioritizing and completing homework; Inform supervisor of noteworthy incidents occurring during program time, i.e. program participants, parents/guardian, school personnel and providing written documentation when necessary; Distribute notices and handouts to parent/guardians to inform them of upcoming event or incidents; Supervise and escort children to all on and off site programs at all times. Assist Specialists and actively engaged in lessons with participants; Assist in maintaining clean and organized work/storage spaces; Attend and actively participate in professional development, meetings, and trainings offered; Complete Mid-year Self-Evaluation process which includes completing forms and meeting with supervisor; coordinate major projects that are presented by participants for the end-of-year culminating event.
