Rafael Pacheco Email and Phone Number
Growing up in Santa Monica, California has given me a unique experience working with cultural and economic diversity. While attending Santa Monica City College, I had the pleasure of serving as President of the Latino Student Union. It was there that I realized my passion for program development and human services. While holding two jobs and playing collegiate football, I grew the Latino Student Union into the second-largest club on campus with strategic programming and recruitment initiatives. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona to pursue my football career and educational goals. While working for The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, I was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Phoenix and received a B.S. in Human Services Management degree. Within 10 years of employment with The Boys & Girls Club, I was promoted from the Health P.E Coordinator to Impact Specialist and ultimately a Teen Director. Between 2014 and 2021, I served as the Alumni Coordinator and Youth Mentor for Elevate Phoenix. Within that time, I had spearheaded several programs (Alumni Association, Jr. Staff program, Summer Camp, etc.) and improved the policies and producers of the organization. While holding two part-time jobs and volunteering with youth sports, I graduated from Regis University with an M.S. in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Management in 2019. Shortly after, I founded the Central Phoenix Youth Sports Association, and currently have over 175 youth participating. With more than 20 years of experience as a Youth Program Director, I am adept in database management, strategic planning, team building, and leadership. I am well acquainted with the general practices, principles, and philosophical aspects of building human capital. I have sound knowledge of public relations, program planning, budgeting, staff management, record keeping, risk management, accounting, and marketing. I have excellent interpersonal skills with children, parents, and stakeholders. I have had considerable success in implementing outreach programs to diverse youth. I possess a broad knowledge of games, activities, sports, and event ideas that are integral to interactive programs, and have been specially trained in risk management.
