I work with the characterization of presalt reservoirs based on 3D seismic interpretation, well interpretation and well correlation in a Equinor funded project developed by GIECAR, a geophysics lab located at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). My main objective in the project is the conceptualization of geological models of the Itapema and Barra Velha carbonate formations, Santos Basin, based on well data and seismic attributes, seismic facies, seismic geomorphology and seismic inversion.

I work with the description of rock cuttings in offshore presalt rigs located in the Santos Basin. The cuttings include salt, igneous and carbonate rocks. In addition, the work also comprises the monitoring well parameters and the geochemical analysis of selected cuttings.

My thesis was about the creation of a depositional model and interpretation of the paleoenvironmental evolution of the presalt Itapema Formation in the Buzios Field, Santos Basin, Brazil. The research was based on 3D seismic mapping, well logs interpretation and core samples and thin section descriptions using mainly the softwares Opendtect and Corel Draw. My master's degree research was advised by the former Petrobras geologist Dr. Ricardo Jahnert and my final grade was A (maximum).
