Ragnar founded Occidental in 2020 to serve as a vehicle for platform building investment focusing on emerging real estate asset classes with complex underlying operations and the need of process optimization through technology and economies of scale. Prior to Occidental, Ragnar co-founded Greenmont Group, where he closed over $100M+ in sponsor side acquisitions including acquiring 555 Washington, a $52.5M mixed use office/retail building in the heart of South Beach in Miami, FL. Prior to Greenmont, Ragnar worked as an Asset Manager at RedSky Capital, a Brooklyn based development company, where he managed and executed on over $2B in assets across 50+ individual properties throughout NY and South Florida with extensive experience in both ground-up development and value-add repositioning. Ragnar attended Southern Methodist University’s Cox Business School in Dallas, TX where he studied Real Estate Finance. Ragnar currently resides between Palm Beach Florida, where he was born, and NYC.
