Research assistant for a joint King’s College London and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine project, agent-based modelling of commuter travel, and how interventions targeting the built environment can be used to increase the number of active commutes.I was responsible for developing the model from scratch in a programming language called Rust, the model developed is open source and available at https://github.com/ragreener1/Motivate. After the model had been developed, this was then run multiple times with the data being analysed using statistics libraries in Python.Co-author on a paper in development, that presents this model and shows its usefulness for evaluating potential public health interventions attempting to bring about more active travel.Co-hosted a workshop, with attendees from local, and central government, as well as academia, in which agent-based modelling was introduced to them, with the Motivate model being introduced, with feedback on the model being collected.
