Leading and managing EI&C engineering design, construction management and supervision for water infrastructure projects.

1. Planning, design and documentation of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems of all the building infrastructure projects2. Oversee projects through feasibility, concept, design development and construction & commissioning phases. Ensure design compliance with Client’s standards, Australian standards and National Construction Code (NCC)3. Perform power system studies in SKM PowerTools for Windows (PTW), SKM GroundMat, ETAP, CDEGS and PowerCAD including but not limited to load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, grading studies, arc flash evaluation, harmonic studies, cable sizing and substation earthing design4. Ensure clients’ requirements, deliverables and level of documentation are clearly defined and disseminated with sufficient pre-notification5. Project Leader on single and multi-disciplinary projects and the administration of design interface between disciplines. Participate in internal and external meetings to discuss client issues, proposals, new opportunities and marketing strategies. Address issues in a timely manner whilst managing key stakeholders6. Review technical submissions by Contractors and Sub-Contractors and the quality of construction against the specified requirements and liaise to address construction-related issues7. Ensure quality system is implemented and maintained on projects, which require quality assurance reviews for peer projects8. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) responsibilities

Provide electrical requirement guidance and advice to all the discipline stream. Deal with a variety of people and issues in relation to the creation of technical designs and display the ability to work through those issues8. Foster strong relationships with Clients to ensure the ongoing success of the team9. Ensure latest Rules and requirements are understood by all within the discipline stream. Responsibilities and Activities:1. Development of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) design works 2. Development of SCADA/Telemetry design and control narratives3. Active participation in development of technical project proposals, bids, cost estimation and tender submissions to ensure electrical design and delivery work4. Oversee projects from concept through to commissioning phase5. Ensure all technical drawings are delivered in time and budget6. Perform electrical studies in SKM PowerTools and PowerCAD including but not limited to load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, protection coordination studies, arc flash evaluation and cable sizing.7. Review all electrical technical documentation and design drawings and ensure their compliance with Client’s standards, Australian standards and the WSP Quality system

Responsibilities and Activities:1. Design and up-gradation of HV/LV electrical reticulation, power distribution and control systems.2. Preparation of power, instrumentation & control equipment and cable schedules3. Development of SCADA/PLC Input-Output interfaces and control philosophy for EI&C works of power station, industrial potable water pumping station and water treatment plants4. Perform Power System calculations and studies in ETAP, PowerCAD and MatLAB including but not limited to load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, arc flash studies, relay protection & coordination studies and cable sizing, earthing grids etc5. Development of single-line diagrams (SLD), schematics diagrams, control diagrams, termination/interconnection and wiring layout drawings6. Preparation of design basis reports7. Preparation of condition assessment report for electrical and control system installations 8. Interdisciplinary design checks and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards (AS), Melbourne Water Corporation (MWC), Gippsland Water (GW), South Gippsland Water (SGW), Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards and regulations9. Preparation of technical specifications and datasheets

Responsibilities and Activities:1. Liaising with Stakeholders primarily Clients, Power Authorities and Principal Contractors2. Consultation with Suppliers and Vendors for product details, designs and drawings3. Planning, design and construction supervision of HV/LV electrical reticulation and power distribution systems.4. Conduct electrical system studies associated with electrical design5. Preparation of CAD based single-line diagrams (SLD), three-line diagrams, schematics/block diagrams, control diagrams, interconnection and layouts drawings6. Preparation of conceptual, detailed engineering design and progress reports7. Preparation of bill of materials (BOM) and cost estimations based on conceptual and detailed designs and technical drawings8. Interdisciplinary design checks and ensuring compliance with Client’s Standards, IES, IEC and IEEE standards and regulations9. Preparation of tender documents, technical specifications and datasheets10. Preparation of evaluation criteria and pre-qualification documents for Contractors11. Input into preparation of project execution plans and project schedules

Preparation of conceptual and detailed engineering design reports and technical specifications 5. Ensuring compliance of all the electrical works with IES, IEC and IEEE standards and regulations
