The plan included targeting House and Senate committee/leadership, research, polling, digital , earned and paid media along with grassroots lobbying efforts that passed 3 of our 4 priority bills during the 2019 Maryland General Assembly legislative session.• Prescription Drug Affordability Boards HB 768 will create the first Prescription Drug Affordability Board in the nation.• The Easy Enrollment Act (HB 814) Maryland Easy Enrollment Program, under the bill, an uninsured Marylander can start the enrollment process by simply checking a box on their state income tax return. • Maryland Community College Promise Scholarships (SB 0260), which alters the requirements to allow residents to take non-credit courses that lead to licensure or certification and registered apprenticeships. • Paid Family leave did not pass but will remain a multi year effort. • Approve state grantee propsals and managed budget to support campaign activities which totaled over $200,000.
