Responsible to ensure that all assigned vessels are operating in compliance with requirements and at all times are acceptable to charterers. The work includes both support to vessels and commercial departments from office as well as onboard activities to promote company excellence including auditing, inspections, guidance, training, campaigns and other relevant activities- Manage all assigned vessels on day to day Marine functions in close cooperation with the fleet teams and commercial teams- Assist in vetting inspections and reply on vetting reports directly to the oil majors.- Ensure close-outs of observations/non-conformities given in audits and inspections.- Handle risk assessments and other support requests from vessels- Monitor, analyse, manage and minimize loss due to accidents and incidents.- Actively communicate with the crews including briefing and training them on Marine matters.- Participate in and take a lead as necessary in development of onboard training programs, and perform training sessions onboard.- Perform internal audits and onboard inspections- Participate or take a leading role in campaigns

Commanded Chemical and Product tanker vessels, carrying vast variety of chemicals and clean petroleum products on both Spot chartered and Time chartered ships, having excellent understanding of operations, commercial issues, charter parties, trade routing, safe navigation, cargo worthiness and tank cleaning, along with good understanding of the shipping law.Part of the Job profile:­Statutory and ISM Annual / Renewal surveys­Port state control inspections­Vetting inspections by Shell, BP, Stat­Oil and other oil majors­Change of flag­Ship to Ship transfer operations­Effective implementation of PMS and Class approval.
