Organizer Leadership Training Program
Current“Student PIRGs’ Organizer Leadership Training Program is a 3-week virtual program that provides participants with the skills and training they need to run effective campaigns in their community. Participants learn how to build a team of student volunteers and leaders, use peer-to-peer tactics to mobilize communities, organize strategic in person and online actions and events, and develop campaign coalitions. Participants also join campaign teams to work on campaigns such as New Voters Project, Affordable Textbooks, Save the Bees, Hunger and Homelessness, Restoring America’s Wildlife, and Save Money, Save the Environment.”“In addition to the Organizer Leadership Certificate, which is awarded for completion of the program, Rahul Ramkumar will also work towards the Climate Action Leader Badge to make tangible change in their community. They will educate 250 community members about ways cost-saving programs that help Save Money and Save the Environment, work with 3 community partners, and collect 50 petition signatures to support climate action.”
