Lead director in the San Francisco, CA canvass office in charge of recruiting, training, managing, and paying a team of 20 canvassers to raise over $120,000 dollars and build membership for some of our nations top progressive groups including CALPIRG, Environment California, and the Human Rights Campaign.As the lead director I oversaw three assistant directors and bottom-lined the San Francisco office.Successfully built grassroots support to to pass a stronger SF bag ban and pass the Berkeley/Alameda bag bans among others in the bay area.

Ran 4-6 public interest campaigns at UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, Cabrillo College, and UCLA. Recruited, educated and trained students as leaders to get meaningful results on important issues. Directed an internship program overseeing 20-80 interns. Ran grassroots fundraising drives of 1000 to 2000 new members/week with interns and volunteers.Helped pass Prop 1A for High Speed Rail in California, local plastic bag bans, national healthcare reform, and national increases to student financial aid. Raised thousands of dollars to fight poverty. Educated thousands of students on campus about dozens of issues. Trained students to host press events, lobby, negotiate contracts, build winning campaign strategy, fundraise, and build power to sustain a statewide non-profit.

Oversaw five campus organizers on seven college campuses working on the No on Proposition 23 campaign. Our coalition generated over 160,000 pledges to vote no and made over 350,000 get out the vote contacts.
