Dr. Rahul Rastogi is the Innovation and Transformation Officer for Northwest Permanente. He has served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Northwest Permanente; he was responsible for the oversight of the care delivery system, leading the 1,500-employee medical group that provides care for over 575,000 KP members. Dr. Rastogi is passionate about innovation and focuses on technology, team, and system design to improve quality and care experience. Since joining Kaiser Permanente in 2004, he has held several leadership roles. Most recently, Dr. Rastogi served as director of operations for Continuing Care Services, and as medical director of Kaiser Permanente's Regional Telephonic Medical Center and Transportation Services. Several innovative new programs were created under his leadership, including Primary Care at Home and Mobile Health Partners, which dramatically increases convenience for patients by providing primary care services in their homes. Dr. Rastogi also serves on the Oregon state Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Committee. He has completed an advanced executive leadership program at Harvard University, and he’s a certified executive coach. He’s a frequent guest speaker; in the Fall of 2016 he spoke at Harvard’s Leadership Forum on integrating oral health and medicine, and in May of 2017 he will speak at Harvard Medical School on Advancements in Healthcare Facilities.
