In this role as a Software Developer at Capgemini, I was responsible for a wide array of development tasks spanning Python programming, automation, and scripting. Based in the Chennai office, I worked full-time for over three years, from March 2018 to March 2021, contributing to multiple projects that varied in scope and complexity.My primary focus was on developing scalable and maintainable Python applications. I was involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to deployment. My tasks included designing algorithms, implementing data structures, and writing clean, efficient Python code. I also participated in code reviews and provided mentorship to junior developers to enhance code quality.In the realm of automation, I worked on automating various internal processes to improve operational efficiency. Utilizing Python-based frameworks like Ansible and Selenium, I was able to automate tasks ranging from server provisioning to browser automation, reducing the manual effort required and minimizing errors.Scripting was another crucial part of my role. I wrote scripts to manipulate data, automate repetitive tasks, and integrate systems. Whether it was Bash scripts for Unix-based systems or Python scripts to move data between databases, my work contributed to making workflows smoother and more efficient.I also collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including QA and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the applications I worked on. The role required a strong understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. Over the years, I received recognition for my ability to deliver high-quality software within tight deadlines.
