About Raimundo Atal Chomali

I'm an environmental and energy economist working at the intersection of the natural and social sciences. I have worked on the market for wind energy in the US, the environmental impacts of intensive aquaculture in Chile, the valuation of ecosystem services, the economics of recycling, and a broad range of questions related to health economics. For all these projects I relay on vasts amounts of data and simulation techniques to illuminate interesting economic questions.I have also worked as a consultant in a variety of projects including the impacts of contract renewal clauses on market power, a cost-benefit analysis of car electrification in the US, among others.I hold a PhD in Sustainable Development from Columbia University, and I'm currently Visiting Assistant Professor at New York University in the Department of Environmental Studies.
