Responsible for the administration, operation and maintenance of Digitel’s CORE BSC RNC Network in the West Side of the Country included MSS (1), MGW (2), BSC (4) and RNC (3).

Venezuela

• Coordinated activities for the administration, operation and maintenance of Digitel’s transmission network SDH, PDH and IP Microwave Radios, Muxes, Fiber Optic, DWDM.• Coordinated activities for the administration, operation and maintenance BTSs and NodeBs• Management of network fault responses, including troubleshooting, solution design, and coordination and deployment of repair teams. Maintained 99.95% network availability while in this role.• Configuration of SDH/EoS transmission routes for the implementation of new services.• Led the implementation, configuration, expansion and commissioning of SDH/DWDM fiber-optics and transmission equipment, and technical support for equipment acceptance tests.• Planning and executing routines of maintenance.

Venezuela

• Supervised operation and maintenance of Infonet’s transmission network SDH and PDH microwave radios and Muxes. • Designed and implemented maintenance programs for microwave radio equipment. Coordinated maintenance activities and emergency responses, maintaining 99.95% network availability.• Designed procedures for monitoring and controlling the performance of AC/DC power equipments (Rectifier, Batteries, Motor-Generator). • Optimization of Transmission Networks.• Configuration of SDH transmission routes for the implementation of new services.

Venezuela

Managed capital projects for the construction of Infonet’s transmission network infrastructure. • Responsible for project engineering and implementation.• Management of the bidding process• Selection and procurement of equipment and services. Budget 6 Million Dollars.• In charge of two main projects: • SDH backbone network, consisting of 49 links within two principal rings. • PDH links access network, consisting of 111 PDH links.

Venezuela

Designed the microwave backbone network for Venezuela’s first GSM operator. Responsible for all the backbone network engineering required to interconnect the city of Maracaibo (MSC) with the principal cities in the western region of Venezuela. Responsibilities included:• Topographical analysis.• Profile drawing.• Reliability analysis.• Frequency plans• Technical analysis of proposals and offers• Selection of 47 repeater sites to build a network of 49 links.
