CurrentIPPS-A (Integrated Personal & Pay System - Army): The Army currently relies on more than 60 separate legacy information systems to provide personnel & pay management for all Army components (Active, Guard, and Reserve). These systems were designed at different times, reside on different hardware platforms, and to consolidate the Army is developing and implementing the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A), a Web-based tool accessible to Soldiers, HR professionals, Combatant Commanders, and other authorized users throughout the Army.Responsibilities: • Highly involved IPPS-A strategic decisions and timely offered inputs on various data management paradigms Metadata, Master data, Data Quality, Data Archiving, Data Security and Business Intelligence platforms.• Architect epic level design patterns for Program protection Implementation Plan (PPIP), Data Conversion & Interface Plan (DCIP), Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Plan (BIDA), Data Quality Analysis Report (DQAR), Service Oriented Architecture & Enterprise Service Bus (SOA-ESB) and Out Bound DD(Topics) shipping data to partner systems. • Reviewed CDRL's, DD's, comment sheets with various parties Army, System Integrator(SI), PMO and Government over DCIP, BIDA, DQAR, SOA-ESB, Out Bound DD's and emphasized importance of data quality framework, Error Resolution Automation process and Audit & Traceability for IPPS-A program. • Build DODAF Models [OV1 - OV6c, SV1 - SV10c], Data Models [ELDM & Epic models], SOA Models [Topics & Web Services], Taxonomies, Enterprise data dictionary, DIV2(logical construct) to DIV3(physical construct) logistics and DD's connecting dots across IPPS-A place holders such as Inbound Interfaces, PeopleSoft HCM and Outbound partner systems. • Appraised Outbound DD delivery patterns Topics, Web services and P2P outbound interfaces, offered recommendations and comprehensive data flows from external seeding systems to subsequent HCM data hops and IPPS-A resting systems.
