With over twenty five years in consumer marketing, retail and advertising, Raja is a seasoned business executive. His assignments covered a number of mature and emergent markets in the regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Global Travel Retail. After a successful advertising career with Leo Burnett, he joined Philip Morris International managing different mandates in sales and marketing, both at headquarters and market levels, before setting up the marketing strategy for Flybaboo, a Geneva based start-up airline, in preparation for its IPO. Raja joined the LVMH group in 2008 where he successfully established and managed the marketing department for Louis Vuitton Middle East and India, before being assigned to head the brand's retail operations in the region. He was later appointed as Managing Director of Bulgari, another LVMH brand, for the Middle East and Africa, overlooking the transition from a distributor operation to a joint venture partnership. Raja went on to set the marketing function of Apple in CEEMEA, building and coaching teams in Russia, Turkey and the Middle East to deliver world class strategies in product marketing, corporate communications and Marcom, and evolving the business 3X over the period of his tenure.He is now a non-executive member of Y leadership team, advising the board on digital marketing initiatives , and he founded the no/me/weh project to provide a platform of professionals mentoring and coaching aspiring Swiss musicians .
