Raj has been a successful investor since the age of 18, when he first learned about Warren Buffett.After six years as a Managing Director of a Strategy Consulting firm, Raj co-founded a Hedge Fund named Insight Capital Management. The fund achieved returns of 107% in just four years, beating the market each year. Raj left the Hedge Fund after learning that Self Storage, a simple, easy to understand investment with outstanding economics, has had the best returns of any asset class in commercial real estate.During his 17 years in Self Storage, Raj’s average annual return has been a 39% IRR. Average Equity Multiple has been 300% per project. Mr. Sheth’s company is among the Top 50 self storage owner/operators in the country with more than $500M of Assets Under Management (AUM). Raj earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois, and his MBA (concentration in Marketing and Finance) with Honors from the University of Southern California. He serves as a Board Member of the Sheth Education Foundation. He is a member of REIAC: Real Estate Investment Advisory Council in Atlanta and is also a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE-Atlanta) where he served as Treasurer in 2007. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Self Storage Association for two years. He resides with his wife and has three adult children. Raj is an avid traveler and has visited 60 countries throughout his lifetime.
