The National Health Mission (NHM) was launched by the government of India in 2013 subsuming the National Rural Health Mission and National Urban Health Mission. It was further extended in March 2018, to continue until March 2020. It is headed by Mission Director and monitored by National Level Monitors appointed by Government of India.

Fungal Biotechnology and Invertebrate Pathogens - This research consists of an introduction and the following purposes: (1) production techniques in fungal biotechnology; (2) the production of biochemicals by fungi; (3) fungi in medical biotechnology; (4) novel industrial uses for fungi; (5) fungi in environmental biotechnology; (6) fungi as agents of biodeterioration and biodegradation; (7) fungi in the food industry; (8) fungi in agricultural biotechnology; and (9) biotechnology and the control of pathogenic fungi. As the chapter titles indicate, a wide range of applications and species are discussed. The chapter on agricultural biotechnology includes information on biocontrol (of fungi, insects, nematodes, and weeds), biofertilizers, mycorrhizal fungi, and other inoculants. There is a subject index. A useful overview of the subject is provided and the book should be a valuable undergraduate teaching aid.
