This model was widely used to facilitate major pricing / buying decision while procuring various key raw material like steel scrap, DRI, Pig Iron, HBI etc. and also for the usage of metallic mix based on lowest TCO.Provided cross functional leadership to the operation department, marketing department and other support services for usage on raw material & other key spent items based on market dynamics and trend. Also facilitated the Operation department in developing best practices for Plant operation & Maintenance. Consistently maintained local scrap receipt of around 25 KT per month in market size of 60KT . It is cheaper than import substitute by minimum $25 to 30 per MT on TCO basis. Achieved by mapping supply chain across various major islands of Indonesia and making collection centers by collaborating with major supplier and providing them working capital and management support along with quality based incentive & penalty scheme.Developed and maintained an active world class scrap supplier base like Sims, Schnitzer, EMR, Smorgon steel, Kussakosky, etc. For Pig iron sources from CIS / Brazil / India, DRI from CIS / Middle East, Steel Billets mainly from CIS / China / Far East sources.Reduced working capital need by around 20% by improving raw material planning, developing nearby sources for lower cycle time and fine tuning the shipment window and very close monitoring & follow up.
