 Monitor safety standards and procedures in the terminal, and respond to emergencies and incidents in the port, providing advice in HSE related matters.  Stay current/up-to-date with new developments in safety and ensure timely & adequate response to new regulatory changes (Local, IMO & International). Maintain knowledge on hazardous material regulations and ensure required shipping documents and product labels meet all hosting country & IMO regulations. Conduct safety audits of work areas and prepare reports of observed safety hazards, violation of safety rules & regulations, for improvements of safety standard.  Monitor, collate and analyse data for trend analysis & statistics to achieve continual improvement on all aspects of HSE and related training of personnel. Lead investigations of reported incidents in line with APMT guidelines to ensure quality of investigations, monitor trend analysis for effective solutions and avoid recurrence. Provide advice and assistance to line managers on safe working practices, conducting risk assessments and ensuring risks are proactively managed. Ensure periodic risk assessment of all operational activities, identify hazards and risks across the business and recommend necessary changes to management and implement appropriate strategies and plans.  Ensures all HSE issues and emergencies are managed fulfilling the requirements of the regulations applicable by local laws and requirements. Provide advice and assistance to line management to ensure compliance to HSE legislative requirements and company policies and procedures. Respond to all proposed penalties, actions, cases, audits and request information pertaining to compliance issues. Advise HSE staff on their responsibility where these are not being met, developing and monitoring action plans to rectify issues. Coordinate with local port authorities and government bodies for mutual assistance during emergencies to mitigate loss of life an
