Tanzania/Uganda

Served as Construction Manager on the Luku-Kalangala-Mulaba Road in Uganda and Project Manager for the Musoma Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Tanzania. Planned/coordinated the construction process, established timelines during projects’ phases, and secured appropriate permits and delivery of materials. Monitored progress for productivity and compliance with construction/safety codes. Ensured completions according to defined schedules. Overcame onsite labour issues and implemented team building exercises to create cohesiveness and the meeting of established targets.  Used conventional technology of the Cofferdam to lay 1000mm diameter of Intake Pipe in Lake Victoria. Key Projects:  Luku-Kalangala-Mulaba Road • Budget: $US 7M • Scope: Construction of 65km of a gravel road and culverts that included access culverts, stone pitching, Gabions and drainage protection works. Musoma Water Supply & Sanitation • Budget: $US 25M • Scope: Construction of 34ML/D WTP-Intake works in the lake, raw water pumping, treatment works, treated water pumping and Distribution lines, Storage reservoirs, E&M Works and access road.
