I am a researcher in the field of Signal Processing and Machine Learning/AI, with primary experience in speech/voice Technology. In Linkedin, I am looking for academic opportunities and collaborations inside and outside India. I would like to experience different cultures in my lifetime while propelling my career, and hence I would like to pursue job opportunities outside my homeland.From 2018-2020, for the past two years, I was engaged as a Post-doctorate researcher in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Israel (Technion), under the able supervision of Prof. Israel Cohen. I completed my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India (IITG) in October-November 2017 in the field of Signal Processing (with application to Speech Processing), under the able supervision of Prof. S.R.M. Prasanna. During my Ph.D. tenure (2013-2017), I was also fortunate to spend five months (Feb. – July 2016) as a visiting researcher in Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), Argentina, working under the supervision of Prof. Hugo Leonardo Rufiner. I completed my graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology Silchar, India (NITS) in 2010, after which I was engaged as a radio-network engineer in the Telecommunications Multinational Company – Ericsson – for more than two years. In the long term, my objective is to utilize and develop neural networks for Speech Processing tasks, as they have delivered unprecedented results in the last decade and are likely to spearhead the research directions in speech applications in the foreseeable future. In fact, recently, I, along with Prof. S.V. Gangashetty of KL University, have submitted a joint research proposal to the Department of Science and Technology, India (DST), in the domain of Speech/Voice Technology. However, I would like to cross-engage in different fields of research, apart from my domain of Speech Processing, and broaden my horizon to the maximum extent possible. This is the kind of freedom that academics provides, which is why I have chosen it as my career path. The wide range of experiences I have had in India, Israel, and Argentina have solidified my conviction in this matter, and emboldened my desire to be a global citizen, and interact and cross-engage with people from different parts of the world.
