Role and responsibilities– Providing transportation to SCI staff /consultant/visitors as assigned by supervisor, – Orient passengers about safety and strictly monitor for seat belts and related safety features,– Keep the vehicle and motorbike fueled all the time and in operational state,– Keep office vehicles and motorbikes in sound mechanical condition with timely servicing,– Drive vehicles within the protocol of time and speed limit set by the Organization,– Update and top up first aid kit in office vehicles,– Keep the office vehicle equipped with complete spare and tools,– Operate vehicle safely well as extended trips outside region, particularly in hill areas,– Maintain accurate and complete vehicle logbook,– Provide administrative support - photocopies, binding documents, and receiving phone calls.

Gorkha

Iraq

Accomplishments– Driven heavy trucks within the instruction of US Army,– Followed all the protocols of convoy driving by US Army,– Vehicle pre-trip check (oil, water, tires, lights, brakes, battery water, etc.),– Vehicles post trip-checking tires, lights & any damages,– Assistance of ground guide, use of flashes, Radio operated, checking side mirrors, checking windows & two times horn while taking reverse or backing,– Following speed limit, stop signal, no passing & overtake, and– Allowing Ambulance and fire service with alarm to overtake by slowing down the vehicle and stopping at the right side.
