I’ve spent my entire career in IT. Although I’m currently specializing in DBA work, my experience ranges from physically building the server racks and stretching cat-5 cables through the ceiling to troubleshooting our end users’ personal workstations. I’ve found that I thrive under pressure, can work efficiently as part of a team or on my own, and can manage multiple projects with relative ease. My leadership experiences, though sporadic, were the most challenging and enjoyable parts of my career. My subordinates were always loyal and hardworking and I went out of my way to ensure their potential was realized as best I could. I took complete responsibility for any and all mishaps and none of the credit for successes. Any success I experienced was a direct result of my team. I’m always expanding my skillset and learning new techniques/technologies. I wonder what I’ll learn tomorrow?…
