About Alex Austin

I am a student studying Computer Science at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. I absolutely love every second of it, and there has not been a single CS class I have taken and not enjoyed.I am a Director in the student org Hack4Impact where we build free software applications to local non-profits, and my role now is to teach the new members our technology stack. I am particularly passionate about this because I can confidently say we are have the best web development educational program at the University.I also work on projects on my own. Some of my current interests are compilers and 3D rendering. I have written a few compiler front ends, and it is super fun to do. I have also been spending a lot of time on graphics programming through WebGL and have now taken to Vulkan.
