I am a Senior Finance Professional and award-winning Lawyer with an exceptional track record of working at the forefront of the legal and finance professions. I played a pivotal role, as a member of the Management Board and as General Counsel, in formulating the strategy that led to the creation of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). I established the ESM legal framework and drafted and negotiated the documentation and guidelines that underpinned the organization’s operations. I am a versatile senior executive with the proven ability to lead, develop and shape vision within large multifaceted organizations combined with the expertise to develop and articulate clear strategic options and to consistently achieve measurable results and the best possible outcomes. Selected achievements Contributed to the overall growth of the ESM and developed legally sound documentation that ultimately helped many millions of people and enabled the ESM to become the largest financial institution by capitalization wordwide. Established the legal department at the ESM and devised and implemented all of the necessary processes and procedures and the structured framework to enable the ESM to function legally and on a global basis. Built and managed a high performing, well respected and award-winning team of about 20 legal professionals. Acted as senior member of ESM's management team that managed the establishment of programmes for some euro area countries (Greece, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and Cyprus).
