Ralph Alexander M.S. is currently the Wellness Center Coordinator / Elementary Counselor for Topaz Elementary School in Hesperia, CA. He is no longer accepting any consulting work so that he can focus on his start up position in Hesperia.Ralph Alexander is formerly the Director of the largest College and Career Center in the U.S.. and School Counseling Consultant sharing best practices for guidance, college and career readiness and behavior management K-12. Ralph took the leadership role in the 2005 designing, seeking funding and building a state of the art College and Career Center in St. Paul. Ralph managed college access programs for 2000 Title I students while providing wraparound services for high need students.Over his 12 year tenure, college applications increased by over 30% to reach and maintain 100% with the school wide commitment to "apply now, decide later." 100% of students created a comprehensive college and career plan up by over 50% of previous years. A goal of $500,000 in scholarships (excluding financial aid) was set and achieved in 2005. Each year achieved more scholarship dollars; in 2015, over 19 million dollars were earned with a similar cohort. Several schools / districts, the State of Minnesota and foundations have used Ralph to help with replicating programs in Minnesota and the midwest. Previously, Ralph worked in California where he served as the district coordinator of Guidance Services for six years and has served as a guidance counselor at all levels. Ralph implemented major programs in the Woodland Joint Unified School District: Conflict Management, Wilderness Adventures for "At Risk" students and behavior management programs for anti bullying and systematic training of social skills. Violence and suspensions decreased dramatically while pro-social behaviors greatly increased. Also in Woodland schools, Ralph was an AYP specialist with three schools who were in their 5th year of Program Improvement in 2000-2003 each reaching their goals.Ralph is most committed to successful and sustainable implementation of best practices. These results are third party verified and reflect a strong collaboration with staff.
