Finally, provided Tier III customer support.Project(s): The FCC Reportable Monitoring Application Release 1 – A totally back-end application that consists of four Quartz Scheduler jobs that run every ten minutes. Provided senior level Java development for the polling application that incorporates JDBC to query NetCool for Cox ISP customers' downtime. The second process uses an algorithm to total customers' downtime. Next, a custom API produces Remedy 7.4 trouble tickets which purpose is to trigger generation of the required reporting to the FCC. Finally, again through JDBC, each transaction is logged to a Oracle database. Technologies used were J2SE, NetCool, Quartz, Oracle 10, SQL, Eclipse, JBosss 5.1, Remedy 7.4. -

This was a unique opportunity as I would be the single person responsible for all aspects of managing GKN's Intranet applications; Hardware, Operations, Java Development and Level I, II and III support.Project(s): UID System – This Enterprise Java application provides a web-based interface that, while interfacing with the company MRP system to generate serialization numbers (the MRP mainframe COBOL program that produced the serial numbers was wrapped with a web service) for manufactured parts, also interacts with a laser-engraver printer driver and the Windows system registry in order to laser engrave 2-D barcodes and serialization information on labels for aircraft parts. Also architected an additional project, the Parts Shortage Report. Being much more than a Java-based report, this web application also interfaces with a web service on the companies MRP system to provide an XML based service that produces a web front-end to the generated report and also incorporates an open-source Java framework (POI) that produces Windows Office-based documents; an Excel spreadsheet in this case. Provided senior level OOAD /Java architecting, development, maintenance and all Customer Support. I was contracted to provide maintenance and coding of enhancements as well as production support for the application Auto-Enrollment. Also, was chosen as Team Lead responsible for Technical Design and coding for the next release of the product O65 (Over age 65) Auto-Enrollment.Project(s):U65 and O65 Auto Enrollment – Briefly, an application for health insurance is entered into a Siebel CRM product. Some basic validation and data manipulation are done there. It is then put into a queue for CIP to pick up. CIP looks for things like prior contracts, special riders, etc. CIP then formats the application into XML and places into a queue to be looked at by an Underwriter. Once the Underwriter has OK'd the application, it is then placed into the main queue, ADS (this is my area of responsibility). After many business rules are successfully applied the application is turned into copybook format and sent to the mainframe. Finally, a XML reply is put on a queue which Siebel Picks up to close the loop. Technologies used were Siebel, IBM MQ, WebSphere Application Server6.1, RAD 7.0, Rational ClearCase, JMS, Agile Methodology, JAXB, JAAS, JUNIT, Design Patterns, MDB's, as well as POJO's. -
