Student apprentice at Brush Electrical Engineering Company. Trained as Electrical Measurements Engineer with emphasis on maintaining a Standards Laboratory. Moved to High Voltage Test Laboratory.Joined CEGB as an Engineer in the Measurements Laboratory before becoming a Metering Engineer in both laboratory and field situations with design and installation experience. Responsible for initial Data Collection project in the Midlands area before transferring to National Grid plc on privatisation of the Electricity Supply Industry. Later moved to National Grid Settlements / ESIS as Group Head of Procedures and Process Support Group responsible for ensuring all metering data was collected in a timely manner to allow correct billing to Suppliers and payments to Generators.RETIRED from NGC and set up my own Consultancy working in the UK and overseas in an advisory capacity relating to Metering and Data Collection matters. Now fully retired since 2002. There really is LIFE after WORK!!
