I used to be a painter, pouring my passion on canvas with the help of a brush. I loved it, it was my thing. I could be painting for hours, focusing on every little dot of color I put on canvas, and no sound or person could be acknowledged in my presence unless my tool was out of hand.I took the same approach to writing and later to SEO. I got into freelance writing around 10 years ago out of pure passion. I loved putting words on paper just as much as I enjoyed putting dots of color on canvas. And the focus was my biggest strength.When I joined the company that I am currently working with I had some knowledge of SEO, but as this line of work changes ever so often, I needed to catch up. I was recruited to help with their SEO efforts and I wasn’t nearly as prepared as they deserved. So I got to learning. I soon found out that the saying “The great thing about SEO is that it changes every 6 months. The bad thing about SEO is that it changes every 6 months” is on point.In the past few years, I’ve upped my game significantly. I made google my friend and made it my mission to learn everything there is to know about this new friend of mine. SEO is complex, but so am I. I am hungry for the thrill of learning new things.At the beginning of 2023 I founded my own IT company and I am passionate about what the future holds.I do five things in my current role:- Create strategies- Do competition analysis- Deliver insights- Manage our team- Make sure everyone is up-to-date on the latest SEO developmentsMy favorite toys to play with in my current role include:- Google Analytics- SEMRush- Google Search Console- UbberSuggest- ChatGPT- Microsoft Clarity- WordPressMy qualities as I see them include:- High-focused- Fast-learner- I speak 3 languages- I’m data-driven but I also like to try things outside the box- Communicative, sociable, outgoing- Passionate about every little thingI still find the time to play with colors on canvas, and my life feels like a perfect balance. I am half nerd, half artist.
