Product Configuration Specialist
Current• Established technical direction and design for product development from the engineering perspective.• Lead the design and development projects to include scope, cost, and schedule for implementing the proposed work.• Calculate cost estimates for final product designs, and release reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labor, material, delivery, and overheads.• Oversee the prototyping and testing of mechanical designs, adjusting as needed for optimal performance.• Continuously refine and optimize mechanical designs for efficiency, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.• Research and recommend suitable materials for specific applications, considering performance and cost factors.• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production Planning, Material Management, Manufacturing, Master Solution to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.• On-Boarding Project's Team members to Configuration Management Process & Tools.• Participating in CCB's. Review & Approving ECR's/CR's• Responsible to implement Change Management usage in Configuration Management Tool (Jira)• Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports.
