I was part of the Product Release Team which was responsible for the quality of the Geodatabases part of the current software like ArcGIS. They take in the current bugs reported by customers, make a root case analysis of the bug and come up with a fix/patch which will be deployed after rigorous testing.As I was new to Geodatabases I had to learn the architecture and working of Geo-Database. I was as well responsible for converting the VB test scripts to C# test scripts and for writing new C# test scripts and bug fixes for the existing Esri products.

I was responsible for the following:- Requirement Analysis: collect the MD50 document from user, analyse and understand the requirement. Check for feasibility and discuss with user my understanding and possible improvements. This phase almost gives a ground work for my Development. Then come up with the MD70 design document and a rough ROM for the requirement to go live.- Software Development: After the ROM gets approved, start with the development of the product. The come up with the MD120 Implementation document for the product developed.- Software Testing: Should make sure all the basic test cases are considered from user point of view before proceeding to user test scenario. Document the test scenarios and the actual and expected test results. - Software Deployment: I was responsible for writing the proper script to deploy the product in the live environment once User Acceptance Testing is done.- Support and Maintenance: Once a new product goes to live I am responsible for its support and maintenance from there on. Any complaints and queries regarding that will be supported by me. In addition I had to support all Oracle E-Business Suite standard and custom applications.- Patch Management: I was responsible for analysing all the Oracle patches which were selected to be deployed and study their impact on the current environment where customisations are made. to make sure what will be the impact of the newer versions.- Documentation: As mentioned above I was responsible for Functional design document, Technical design document , Implementation documentation, Test script, Unit testing and at times with User acceptance testing and Functional testing.
