• Conceptualized and developed a novel tandem fuel injection system in crossflow of supersonic aircraft combustors, to improve air-fuel mixing and thereby achieve higher combustion efficiency.
• Manufactured an aiding traverse mechanism and devised an experimental set-up to analyze the effectiveness of the tandem fuel injection system using MIE scattering flow visualization technique.
• Analyzed the experimental findings using statistical and image processing tools of MATLAB to study the influence of tandem fuel injection system on jet Penetration and spread into supersonic airstream.
