CurrentCurrently leading a team of Deputy Directors and Project Managers to deliver the projects & operational service levels in the area of the ICT infrastructure and Digital Services in NLB.As part of the Senior Management team in NLB, I have consistently demonstrated the leadership to contribute towards the IT strategy, and provided many ideas and views on policy & strategic issues. Under the Library of the Future (LoTF) plan, I have also implemented many technology initiatives contributing towards the Digital Transformation in NLB.I have Initiated many automation projects to improve the productivity to the staff or improve the customer-experience. For instance, I have implemented the AutoSorters in the libraries, so as to automatically sort the returned items into specific categories, which reduces the manpower required to manually sort the items.As part of the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) services to improve customer experience, I managed the implementation of services like the Self-Service-Reservation-lockers that enabled the customers to pick up their reserved items, even after the opening hours of the libraries.I have provided the technical leadership to plan and deploy Robots based projects in NLB – e.g., Robot-Shelf-Reading Robots at seven libraries, which reduces the overhead to the staff to find out the which books are placed in wrong shelves. I have also proposed to push the same scanned data to the online library catalogue, which helps to improve the customer experience to locate the books in the library. I have overseen the technology upgrade and operations of the Library RFID Automation systems/applications in NLB. This service has resulted in high productivity for the NLB staff and customers during the borrowing and returning of library items. Currently, I am also driving a project to do a cost-effective transition from RFID HF standard to UHF.
