About Rama Rao
I lead Capgemini's Application Management Services (AMS) for our UK, NA and Australia locations. Since joining Capgemini in 2004, I have been responsible for developing processes and tools to improve productivity and to decrease delivery costs as the head of AMS. I started my career as a Software Engineer in Wipro's R&D division in 1983 and later became a Technical Manager in a global capacity. In 1990, I joined Texas Instruments and after three successful years as Delivery Manager for their Design Automation Tools division, I rejoined Wipro as head of the Quality division in 1993. My second stint at Wipro lasted 11 years. I headed their Wireless & Communications practice and then became the Delivery Head for the Manufacturing Business Unit before joining Capgemini.

Vice President & Head Of Application Management Services
I head Application Management Services (AMS) from India for our UK, NA and Australia regions. In this role, I am responsible for service delivery to clients within budgeted parameters. I have industrialized AMS and developed processes and tools to improve productivity and decrease delivery costs. I oversee that the company meets its India budgets and that the Gross Operating Profit (GoP) for AMS constantly improves. In addition, I am overall in-charge of the Bangalore unit of Capgemini India. Capgemini's India operations are at the heart of its Delivery Model. It has 34,000+ people across 7 major cities, and is among the top 10 IT employers in India. Capgemini services more than 500 global clients from its development centers in India. The Indian operations offer the full spectrum of services from Consulting to Technology and Outsourcing Services, including Business and Technology Consulting, Custom Software Development, ERP and System Integration, Application Management, Infrastructure Management and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
