• Assist External Auditors with the annual audit of the district’s financial records. • Assist in the review of the district’s comprehensive annual financial report, and the single audits report. • Prepare and/or supervise the performance of systems documentation, flowcharts, and write-ups. • Participate in the initial planning for assigned internal audit tasks. • Prepare detailed audits programs as required based upon professional standards. • Evaluate systems of internal controls, indicating evaluations for effectiveness, efficiency, and economy. • Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits. • Conduct special investigative audits as circumstances arise • Perform other duties as assigned

• Perform audits of elementary, middle and high school activity funds to insure that cash receipts and disbursements are properly recorded in the general ledger relative to proper accounting and budgetary control.• Determine that bank accounts have been reconciled to insure that the books are accurate and the cash is properly controlled. • Prepare profit/loss projections on fundraisers and vending sales. • Verify annual financial statements for school activity funds. • Provided extensive customer service to agencies and district managers.• Assisted in hiring, training, and evaluation of A/R personnel.• Determine that payroll reporting procedures have been followed. • Examine purchases that require bids and insures that the District’s policies and procedures have been adhered to. • Perform other duties as assigned.
