May'17 to Present,Ahmedabad Underground Metro, heading Procurement departmentSept’15 to May'17Cluster buyer which is consisting of major items for multiple projects like Bridge Project in Goa, Bridge Project in Bharuch , Nuclear Power Plant in Kakrapar, Steel Bridges in Mumbai in additional to this as a cluster buyer have to do analysis of monthly reports support to tender team for bidding of new Projects. .Noteworthy InitiativesMay’13 to Aug’15• Heading Procurement dept. for Project Value Rs 1250 Cr, DMRC CC27 Underground metro project with a total team of 3 Member.• Doing Procurement for all kind of construction material like Steel, Cement, Micro silica, Fly ash , Admixture, Aggregate, Sand, Electrical, Hardware, Spares, doing sourcing for transporter helping execution/planning team in material planning.• We are buying material at lowest possible cost maintaining quality and long payment term.• Did long term rate contract for few items for project duration like Concrete vibrator, Electrical fitting etc.• Negotiated RC vendor for more discounts FOC items etc, For permanent items(Admixture, Steel etc) where vendor defined by client we are trying to finalize with vendor who is economical to us in all respect.• Finalized big finishing item contract like false ceiling, plumbing etc. Noteworthy InitiativesNov’11 to Apr’13• After joining L&T I was given assignment at their Faridabad Cluster(Regional) office procurement from where 2-3 project was operational (2 hydro project and 1 DMRC).• I was having responsibility for 2 projects one is Parbati Hydro project (which was approx. 50% completed) and other one is DMRC CC06 Project approx. 400 Cr value elevated project of Phase III.• Doing procurement for all kind of material for above said project, did saving of approx. 3.5 Cr against budgeted value against procurement of 23 Cr in the period of July’12 to March’13 on Major Items.

Handling Procurement activities and representing my company in procurement department for a project value 180 Million USD with joint venture of SAIPEM Italy; this is Bulk jetty Project to be complete in 18 months on the Port Of Sohar In Sultanate Of OMAN.Working on rate contract for fast moving items.Efficiently developed vendors in new country within very short span of time.Handled corporate material also.Noteworthy Initiatives -3Nove'07 to Nov'09Handling Procurement and coordinating in all Stores Functions at Delhi - Grade Separator Project Geeta Colony - worth Rs. 214 Crores .Items dealt are HSD, Cement, Reinforcement and Structural Steel, Angles, Channels, Sand, Construction Chemicals, Bitumen, Equipment Spares, Consumables etc.Negotiated rates and brought down by about 10% of the existing rates of other identical sites.Working on Rate Contracts for fast moving items.Handled all the Procurements and Stores activities efficiently with my sub-ordinates for more than a year that are highly appreciated by Higher Management.Saved lot of material cost by introducing CST (2 & 1 %) rather than VAT(20, 12.5 & 4%), earlier we are procuring lubricant on 20% vat By introducing CST(2%) we saved 18% per transaction which is 60-70 k/month this is example of one group only we did same for many group on which we are not getting VAT returns.By introduction of alternative product we saved lots of money.Co-ordinate with clients for material inspection, I did inspection of all steel bearing/ Expansion joints at vendor workshop with client and consultant as per IRC-83 Part II and expedited production & delivery of same to avoid any delay.Noteworthy Initiatives -4July'06 to Nove'07Handling of Stores/Purchase functions at Ulunderpet Road Project - A Time Bound Project worth Rs. 340 Cr., to be completed within 32 months.
