I view technological challenges as exciting learning experiences. I meticulously plan, approach and test to provide innovative ideas or solutions to new and old problems. I currently wear many hats; Operations manager, Building supervisor, Network Administrator, and System manager. The biggest hat is “Duties as assigned.” I push for excellence and simplicity to accommodate evolving requirements for the teams that use the facility and the data that lives in our storage systems. All my positions have provided opportunities for change, but none more than my current role. Where some have learned to pivot, I have excelled at revolving, rolling, swinging, and spinning. Should I fall over I take the opportunity to look at the challenge from a different perspective and provide a creative solution.I take pride in being the go-to person. I’m known for solving the unsolvable. I have made it my life’s goal expeditiously and efficiently rebuilding desktops/laptops so I can focus on bigger challenges. I can reduce duplicate and stagnate data almost as fast as posting used office furniture in the Freecycle section of Craigslist. Outside of work I keep my skills sharp by providing IT consulting services. Providing support in areas inside and outside my area of focus. When time permits I enjoy working on the demolition crew at Habitat for Humanity and volunteering at the Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy.
