Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the quality assurance and the defect liability period in Discovery Gardens a 245 building development. I ensure that key stakeholders are engaged on quality issues, including planning, organizing and directing quality assurance and contracting teams, managing the compilation of pre-handover defect reports and the completion of post-handover defect rectification works to the satisfaction of Nakheel customers. I provide a customer driven approach in the delivery of snag free villas, apartments and buildings to promote a quality culture and ensure that work is conducted within set standards to minimize costs to Nakheel. • Lead quality inspection teams on quality inspections ensuring consistency of approach in terms of the quality measures applied.• Program defect inspections so as not to delay scheduled Handovers.• Plan, coordinate and participate in system reviews and quality audits, assisting staff in identifying potential improvements to systems, processes and work flows.• Ensure quality issues, which will affect customer satisfaction post-handover, are identified. • Act as Nakheel representative to obtain customer ‘snag’ lists. • Liaise with Nakheel Project Management Teams and external contractors for the rectification of defects. • Lead quality inspection teams for the supervision and close out of defect rectification works. • Ensure works undertaken in occupied premises are undertaken with due care. • Supervise defect rectification works to ensure ongoing defects liability issues are minimized. • Ensure defect rectification works are carried out such that waiting times and escalations to management are minimized. • Maintain effective customer relation during defect rectification works.• Assists with the documentation of processes and operating procedures.
