He was instrumental in the writing of the post-Parkland school safety bill. Along with other criminal justice experts, he worked on the bill late into the night for days on end. Even with only a few hours of sleep, his spirits were high and his work was reliable. The eight attorneys in our office are assigned to different subject areas. Any one of us could get “hit” with work at any time depending on what issues are featured in the headlines. When Johnny first started in Bill Drafting, the office culture was every-man-for-himself.
