The largest food producers in New Zealand partner with us to ensure their food has gone through the highest standards in the market. Our install base is supported by factory trained technicians. Mercer have two large manufacturing sites and a sales and service/ small projects site in Australia to feed work to. Other responsibilities included the website, advertising, and the marketing materials & tools required to promote Mercer brands and its partners. Heading the sales team, based in NZ, Queensland and Victoria, our team included project and design engineers to support the sales in detailed costing, design and project management. During my time took an active role in the development to add value to existing products & brands. The Betavac 20kg/40lb cheese block vacuum packer was a successful product in the portfolio. Drove a revamp and model up grade along with driving through the break through BetaTest leak detector, and BetaTurn block turner. Now sold in a number of countries, with a big focus on the US market.Worked with USDA and partners on approvals for the Mercer PV valve and teams first sales into Australia. Bought on all current agency equipment into the business, and sold each brand in the first year to obtain reference sites. Show less

Looked after a number of different industries & key accounts, with a focus on Dairy. Product champion for metal detection, x-ray and end of line automation/ packaging and powder packaging. Sold 80% of the metal detection install base personally. Working with them on the framework for new standards across multiple sites. Heavy focus on preferred supplier status at major NZ companies.

Beachcroft also produced waste bins from 1.5mtr3 up to 30mtr 3 and other various medium size project work. After my apprenticeship was completed became the Production Manager and a registered assessor for other apprentices.
