I have worked in my community as a lifeguard for the past 4 years. I enjoy working for an establishment that members of my condominium association love to visit over the Summer. I have always liked making friends/being social, and working in my own community is no exception. Getting to know the residents and regulars at the pool is one way that my work life relates well to my personal life and social skills. I am able to maintain a presentable and clean work space while also being friendly and caring about those who come in. I believe that social skills are just as important as medical skills when it comes to building a community. I hope to move the same work ethic, enthusiasm, and years of dedication into a steady career in MIS.

  At HLCA I have maintained a lifeguard position for three years, going on a fourth. I have accepted more responsibility over the complex and fellow employees year after year. Working requires constant attentiveness and alertness as well as being physically fit enough to save someone's life who may be in danger. After two years as a normal lifeguard, I accepted an assistant head lifeguard position and due to a national shortage of lifeguards, often times accepted responsibility for the entire complex open to close. I have overseen special events for holidays, and frequently open and close the complex during work days. Work involves constant attention and knowledge of correct medical procedures and First-Aid skills.
