Managed all aspects of IT management for the Canadian subsidiary of AllianceOne Inc. (A1), a financial services and accounts receivable management company based in Exton, Pennsylvania, which acquired Nova Information Technologies Ltd. (NIT) and Nova Collection Services Ltd. (Nova) in September 2002. Staffed and led a team of 18 multi-disciplined professionals in support of A1’s technology and business needs and its 120+ end-user community.• Served as a member of advisory team tasked to study the risks and issues associated with the conversion of Nova’s legacy systems to A1’s vertical market software for accounts receivable management• Led a team of software developers, and consultants to convert Nova’s legacy applications and databases to A1’s vertical market software platform• Managed a 12-month software development project, using Microsoft’s .NET framework, for Instaloans Financial Services Ltd.; this project involved a team of 8 developers, testers and trainers, and a budget of $500,000 CDN• Authored the turn-key application software for accounts receivable management for Nova’s multi-site operation; led the support team that maintained this application through many maintenance releases over an 8-year period.• Grew NIT’s IT consulting practice to in excess of 50 clients and 20 full-time staff members with annual revenues in excess of $300,000 CDN• Supervised the construction of a secure data center for Nova and NIT, a 6-month project with a budget in excess of $50,000 CDN• Staffed and managed the project team responsible for the conversion of Nova’s legacy applications and databases to enterprise-wide, web-based applications; this project had a duration of 18 months and a budget of $350,000 CDN• Supervised the preparation and implementation of Nova’s Disaster Recovery plan• Designed, developed and maintained an accounts receivable management application software for Bell Aliant (formerly, Maritime Tel & Tel), a 6-month project valued at $75,000 CDN
